Thunder Rosa, real name Melissa Cervantes, is a Mexican professional wrestler and mixed martial artist who has competed in various promotions throughout her career. She is known for her tough and high-risk wrestling style, which is a blend of American style, Japanese ‘strong style,’ and Mexican lucha libre.

She has won several championships, including the AEW Women’s World Championship, the NWA Women’s World Championship, and the Shine Tag Team Championship. Rosa is also the owner of the Mission Pro Wrestling promotion and has been a strong advocate for women’s wrestling.

It’s worth noting that she is the first Mexican-born AEW and NWA Women’s World Champion, making her the first Mexican World Champion in a U.S. wrestling promotion. Thunder Rosa has received significant recognition, including being named the ‘2021 Match of the Year’ by Pro Wrestling Illustrated, and currently holds the #3 spot on the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Women’s 150 list of the world’s best female wrestlers.
